this is my first time being the event chair for an event,
and due to the popularity of our club people and budget,
we can only held it in sch,
Dance at Moberly.
there wasnt an ADD in the previous year and nobody knows what happen 2yrs ago or smt,
so i have to plan everything from scratch.

actually it suppose to be held at the venda room, but due to renovation, we have to change the venue some time later & i submitted the proposal like at least 2months ago, but the SAA took super super super long to approve, dono what they are doing,
even ask the officer to check abt it also dono y,
we were guessing, isit have to pay for the technician fee, which will cost them some sum of $ thaty they are taking so long. (cos we have another club event, which only submitted like 2 or 3weeks ago, asking for a budget of only $60, and it is approve immediately lol.

so everything is in the planning state still till the week be4 the event, that i think almost everyday also go and bug at the officer to check for us, and re-submitting new cut down price proposals and its only till thur, it is finally approved, where our event is on the next following fri.

there are times that i really worried that what if our proposal is still not approve,
that means all the things we plan will be wasted!

but finally knowing that it is being approved, our plan then can get moving.

but due to the late notice, and its only within a week that we have to officially inform all the people about this event and collect $ from them.

i estimate 50 people to attend, which is quite reasonable, but due to some reasons, there were a lack of people attending the event, and there are like only 1 or 2days left before the event,
how am i going to invite or ask people to come too.
its really hard, as its really kind of late notice,
and many people hear that have to pay for $12, they will just forget the thoughts alr.
and it's suppose to be within our club event,
so alot won be interested too.

so i cant believe that the day before i was going round asking people to come,
even so bad that i have to beg people to come too, otherwise we will make a lose and not enough $ to cover up for the food we order, etc.

but i realise that it was such a stupid and silly step to do, esp going to the XXX club there!
there are just too much pressure for me to do this,
i was really stressed up during that period of time,
i have a X pressure for me to do this, and not do that,
and even wan to choose who to come, where we are still lack of people coming lol!

so during that period of planning time & before the event,
there are times that im really so stressed and pressurized that i just burst to tears alone at home, and as the day nearing, im feeling more worried and even dont feel excited and wanting to quite and give up alr.
u won understand how much pressure i have unless u r in my position as im really helpless.

however, the event has already over and to general people who attend, they are happy and satisfy with the event.
as there wasnt any big thing happen during the event, everything goes smoothly and fun.
but its only when u are observant enough, u will know that there are alot of small details that i miss out and can be improved.

a special debrief discussion with my club president, i felt so disappointed at myself.
cos alot of the mistake my OC will make is all relie on me,
although i manage to cover up all the things that some of my OC/helpers suppose to do, during the event, but 1 person's ability is still not as good as like 5people, so there are still alot of things i miss out.
being the event chair,
i know its my own fault that i didnt emphasize and assign each and everyone of them, their jobs clearly on that day again,
so some people were busy doing this, thus forget to their own part, while some got nothing to do while finish their part.
but maybe is the trust and bonding we lack among my OC team,
i cant just leave a thing totally to them to settle, so eventually almost everything is done by me, i could really say. they are just doing what i have told them, that's all.
but another big factor we lack of is also the helpers,
the OC are also the helpers, so we also lack of manpower on the day too.

however, there are still some of the people that i really must thank for the success of this event, as without them, the event can never happen too.

Arthur (club-president): never give me any pressure during the planning and the whole event, will always accompany me whenever i need to go see the officer, help me sign the forms, even with very last mins too. has been really really supportive of me for the event.

Vick: accompany me to see the officer alot of times too, although he is also very busy and has his own stuffs to settle and stressed abt the coming concert planning too. never fail to give me the support and HUG too!

Peiyun: for being my performance IC for the event. im like totally leave the whole planning on their performance to her to settle, so everything is well settle by her that i do not need to worry abt the performance part. (:

and of cos my dear friends: (grace, sam, joel): for being my OCs too, help to give suggestions at times, and being my performer for the performance slot for the events too!

and grace also help in collecting $ for ADD, but dono if she is too gd or being to fierce, that if she ask $ from a person, the person sure will give it to her one. hahahx

same thing goes to sam, although she don really have a title or position to hold, but she is always there when i need help too! (:

lastly, joel, for being self high and helping to bring up the atmosphere during the event itself too.

Sin Ee: my food IC, and the most efficient OC in the team, never fail to do her part in the planning and always will finish her task in advance.

Angela: Decoration incharge. although she may not seems to have alot of things to do during the planning and its only till nearing the event that i get to see some of the decoration things, but she never disappoint me,
is creative and gd at designing.

and also a very last min of help from her and Sin Ee to be at the counter and prepare alot of things for me before the event start, but they did it well still.

Benjamin+wayne: my game ICs. although there is once that they make so angry during the planning stage cos they were unable to just do a simple thing that i ask them to do, and took them super long and if i didnt remind them abt the meeting e next day, they will still not do and tell me that they lose the paper too.
so lucky i did prepare and save some backup plans on my side.
but in the later part, after knowing how serious this matter is and i show my slight fierce side, they didnt continue to give me nonsense excuse alr.
and ben is gd and listen to what i told him to do too.

kevin: very last min on the day itself,
to help me with the logistic stuffs too, and help me to take charge of the slides show and music of the day.

chee ming: also a very min helper to be my game IC on the event as both of my officially game ic have lesson on the day till very late in the evening, so was unable to come in time,
so he help me in conducting the games too.

weiren: for asking his friends to come and the MC.

Yan Jun: for doing the interesting powerpoint slide shows.

Xiantao: for buying the masks, help to wrap the door gifts&prizes. (esp to the lollipop, take so much effort in making it look presentable as a door gift)

other then members from SPSE,
like Peilin and cynthia, from CMCC,
mervin, from CO,
peiyun's friends, for coming,
and a big thank to Khas!
when i ask him if he would like to come, without hesitation, he agree and turned up for the event despite the fact that he don no anyone from my club other then sam, peiyun, grace,vick i guess, but still very supportive of me!

and lastly, to ferguson!
for being my very last min helpers too.
be my guide for some of the e organizing stuffs and help me to solve alot of problems that i encounter very last min.
(im really sry, that i tried to paiseh u that day, or leave without a word, cos i really felt very helpless and broke down that just need time to be alone first, but thanks for helping me alot very last min too.)

overall, i learnt alot through this experience and i get to know who are really your true friends who will be there when u need help.

im sorry if i miss out anyone,
but all ur help is greatly appreciated! (:
